Maine trip

We drove part way up the coast of Maine on Saturday. We stopped at York Town, Ogunquit, and then Old Orchard Beach just south of Portland.

This is perkins cove in Ogunquit ME. click on the picture . The picture was taken while standing on the pedestrian drawbridge.

A misty morning in York, Maine.

You can't really tell, but there is a lighthouse in the background. I (Carissa writing this) was a little disappointed that the lighthouse was fogged in. I was hoping for a pristine picture, but got this instead. Still it was nice. This is the Nubble Lighthouse, built in the 1790's. It was commissioned by our first president, George Washington. The first lighthouse built in the country.

This is a picture of the Atlantic Ocean taken on the Marginal Way trail in the little town of Ogunquit. The trail right on the coast and has beautiful views.
Braeden, Emery, and I are on the only pedestrian drawbridge in the U.S. Built so foot traffic could cross the ocean inlet to the neighborhood on the other side. It opens up so tall boats can pass underneath.
